"Magic Mirror"
"Magic Mirror" is a photograph I took of Snake from the band Snakeskin. The title is a reference to the item called magic mirror in the Super Nintendo game, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (1992). In the the game the magic mirror allows the main character Link to transport between light and dark versions of the kingdom he is trying to save.
I wanted to capture the idea of multiple worlds with this image because I was thinking of the way in which Snake's music evolves over time. Reflecting back on the past is sometimes like looking back at a different world, and a different version of yourself.
