The Deli Song Scarf is a jacquard-loom acrylic knit scarf I designed for the band Snakeskin. The scarf is a five-color design inspired by the Photoshop graphic art commonly seen in bodegas, delis, and flower stall windows in New York City.
I've always liked the look, and maybe the audaciousness, of the high-contrast, super-saturated photo collages, and I thought that by translating them into a new space -- knit fabric -- others might see the collages in a different way, perhaps even in an affectionate way.
